Because quality is a priority for Max Dias, every day, all employees contribute to meet all the requirements, such as the high hygiene standards of the product, from the reception of the cork to its final finishing and subsequent shipping. The company is thus in full compliance with the International Code of Cork Stopper Manufacturing, created by the Confédération Européene du Liège (European Cork Federation), in partnership with Bureau Veritas, having obtained the Systecode certification for several years in a row, which certifies that the company complies with the most stringent requirements in terms of production, environment and occupational health and safety.

In addition to all of its internal quality control procedures, Max Dias is equally strict when choosing suppliers of raw material and service providers, who must also be certified under the Systecode international code.

The company is also a member of APCOR – Associação Portuguesa da Cortiça – the body that represents and promotes Portuguese cork in the world and whose mission is to ensure the excellence of the products manufactured by the Portuguese industry, and a member of the Cork Industry Federation, the association that represents the sector in the UK.
